The Longing for Solitude

In early 2019, my Mom slipped on the front step of her home and broke a hip. This series of photos is around three phases of the final months of her life: the empty home where she lived for 40 years, the room at a nursing home where she spent her last six months (including her 89th birthday), and her funeral.
